Christopher Banks Christopher holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Batchelors degree in International Affairs, with honors, from Brown University. Christopher's past experiences include working in the religious liberty field between earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees, working in NARLA's Capitol Hill Office, the General Conference's Office of General Counsel, and assisting in representing the IRLA at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Christopher possesses a particularly strong interest in international religious liberty issues.
Barry W. Bussey, is a native of Newfoundland, Canada. He has two undergraduate degrees (B.A. in Theology and LL.B. in Law); two master degrees (M.A. in Political Science, and LL.M. in Constitutional Law); and is currently studying for his PhD in Law at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University (Toronto). Barry served as pastor for two churches in Newfoundland. He was legal advisor for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada from 1996 to 2008. Since January 2009 he has been working as Associate Director of the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Department at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He heads up the Adventist Office of Legislative Affairs on Capitol Hill.
Nicholas bridges the gulf between church-state constitutional law and church history, and is a professor of church and state at Andrews University in Michigan. He has a law degree from Columbia University, and is currently working on a Ph.D. in church history at the University of Notre Dame. He has represented a number of religious organizations in important cases, including an appearance before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Alan is a minister and attorney, whose law practice emphasizes religious discrimination in employment and First Amendment issues. He has filed briefs in both state and the U.S. Supreme Courts in church-state cases. Alan is in demand as a speaker, publishes widely on religious liberty issues, and hosts NARLA's weekly syndicated radio program, Freedom’s Ring. Alan earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
